She reigned as Queen of Apollo while a student at McGehee where she was captain of the varsity basketball and softball teams, editor –in-chief of the yearbook and received the Headmistress Award. She is a Gamma Phi Beta at the University of Virginia and volunteers with the Charlottesville Community Center. *
